Two Short Plays by Britain's Best Playwrights!
The Trustees are delighted to announce that Howard Eilbeck is returning to the Director’s Chair for our Autumn production which will be performed at Matthews Hall from 24-27 November.
This time there is a double treat in store for audience members as short plays by two celebrated playwrights will be on offer:
Green Forms by Alan Bennett
In a dilapidated office of a large organisation, clerical workers Doris and Doreen sit at their desks going through the motions in a sea of paperwork, taking delight in office gossip, petty disagreements with other departments and sharing their thoughts, little suspecting that change is afoot and that their comfortable world is about to be turned upside down by the arrival of a new member of staff. And she’s very efficient.
The Real Inspector Hound by Tom Stoppard
Two theatre critics, Moon and Birdfoot are watching a new play. It is a classic murder mystery, with familiar characters and plotting. As the action unfolds their private lives become caught up in what is happening on stage. There is a body, a shooting and of course a policeman, but who is the real Inspector Hound?
Howard will be hosting a readthrough of the plays at the Globe, Topsham on Wednesday 6 May at 7.30 pm and all are welcome. If you are interested in attending or have any questions, please contact Howard: howard_eilbeck@hotmail.com
